Like I said, I'm from Mexico (Tijuana, Baja California), but now I live in the US (San Diego, California). I love living in San Diego because it's like spring all year long and it has very nice beaches. I enjoy both outdoors and indoors activities, such as hiking, running, surfing, reading, learning, programming, cooking (not in any particular order). I work as a software consultant for a huge global company called KPMG, I've been working for them for the past year, and I'm really happy here. Another big name company that I've worked for as a software engineer in the past is Nokia, back in 2012. I really want to learn German because, like I said, I always enjoy learning new (and useful) stuff, and I really like how it sounds. The bigger reason though, is that I'll be visiting Germany this year (2015), and I think the best way to enjoy a culture is to be able to speak with the natives. Yes, I know most people in Germany speak English, but what's the fun in going there and speaking English to them? =)

How long have you been here? Cuánto tiempo tienes/llevas aquí? Why are you learning Spanish? Por qué estás aprendiendo español? How long have you been learning Spanish for? Cuánto tiempo tienes / llevas aprendiendo español? Por cuánto tiempo has aprendido español?

Makes sense to me. "You're not close to achieving your goal, but [something] gives you a reason to make a bigger effort".

What do you mean you can't use "Nombre"? There is no difference, only that "Mi nombre es" = "My name is" "Me llamo" = "I am called" In English nobody says "I am called", but in Spanish it's very common, you can say either when you introduce yourself, you can also say "Soy Carlo" = "I'm Carlo" (which is also common in English).

Probably week 4 of 2015, which would be any time from January 17th to the 23th, or the next week, not sure how weeks start counting in a year.

Tengo ganas de correr. - I feel like running. Estoy por llegar. - I'm about to arrive. Estoy para ayudar. - I'm here to help. Estoy para ti. - I'm here for you. Estoy apunto de terminar. - I'm really close to finishing. ira < ir a - This is wrong. "Ira" is a noun (La ira), and it means "Rage". ira= I will - This is wrong too, you probably mean "irá", which is the 3rd person singular / 2nd person singular respect for of ir. El / Ella / Usted irá. El irá a Alemania el año entrante. ir a = i am going to - Rather "to go to". "I am going to" would be "Voy a ir a".

Not that I know of, I never hear "no fear" or "fear not" colloquially. But I live in the US, not sure about British English.

    The Language of your dreams.

We all have (oneiric) dreams, not all of us can remember them in the morning, but fortunately I can, and I frequently dream in English, wich which is quite curious.

I wonder which is the language of the dreams of a polyglot person?

I don't think that dreams have an a specific meaning or message for us, I just find very fascinating the way that our brains tell us stories while we're sleeping very fascinating.

My most common dream is about whales and sea creatures, I'm terrified by the sea, in my dreams the ocean seems so powerful, so deep, so breathtaking and yet so beautiful.

Do you dream in the language that you're learning?

Very well written :), I'm sure "an" and "wich" were just typos.

"Time zones" is third person plural, or "they", therefore, the verb is conjugated as "confuse" instead of "confuses" (which is used for the second person singular). In Spanish "Los usos horarios" would be "ellos", also third person plural.
