Thanks for the question. Let me address it the way I see it. 1. It's a great idea to watch it and to be in an English speaking environment but it has nothing to do with the output as you are just listening. It's great to improve your understanding and pick natural expressions but for the speaking part, not quite. 2. In order to get your knowledge to be used the goal is to use it. Not to learn it and memorize it but to use it. Sadly as English learners you aren't required to do this because Jun Kao or Gao Kao have a goal to test your vocab, grammar, rules etc. It's not aimed to develop the spoken ability. Just memorize constantly. Thus you have this issue as well as thousands of students that I taught from China. You've been taught a different way and now you need to learn to do it in a new way and this is why it's a challenge. And this is where I come in with my method of teaching. Over the past 5 years and over 10 thousand 1-1 classes where I've been asking Chinese people question to help with the output. You see, when I asked you question you did what? You thought in English as you had no time to think in Chinese. Then you started to search for words in your head, then ( maybe slowly ) started to organize them together, right? Then doing the output which will get you to your goal - becoming a fluent and a confident speaker, right? Well, this is the process behind all of our classes if you wish to join. So, I hope to assist you and let me know what other questions may I address before you'll decide to become my students. Cheers.
