Hello Future Me, I hope the last five years have treated you well. I hope to hear that you start speaking Hebrew the second you touch down in Israel, and that you have no more qualms about conversing with the different people you encounter. Ordering falafel will be second nature, you no longer have to think and think of what each topping is. Need directions? You won’t have to ask them to repeat it in English. How exciting to understand many of conversations around you! I expect that you have already tried tackling some of our favorite novels in Hebrew, keep at it. We’ll understand that difficult vocabulary eventually. Maybe you’ll even be able to converse with your little siblings in Hebrew. Even if studying languages is mostly a side hobby for me, putting in even a little time and effort consistently over years will lead to wonderful results. I’m looking forward to my future more linguistic self :)

In five years time I see myself turning into a multi linguist and having fluent multilingual skills. I started my language learning journey when I was relatively young so five years may seem like a short time to master fluency but for me I believe it is more than enough. With a global economy, businesses need to have professionals who are able to communicate with clients around the world. That’s why I am convinced that having additional language skills can set me apart for the competition. I am going to achieve my goal by making sure that every single to dedicate time to learn something new or to learn new vocabulary that will make things easier for me on the long run. I will also achieve it by using italki to find affordable good teachers that will make my learning journey run smoothly.

I remember the day my mother told me that I'd start an English course, I was really sad and angry, I'd have to "waste" part of my free time to learn a language which I was not interested in, nevertheless now I thank my mother because I could realize how important and how amazing is the learning foreign language world! After I got a level B1, I decided to learn French and I love it! In fact in November I will present the DELF exam and one month later I'm gonna start with Arabic language, I've always thought it's really interesting, for that reason in five years I hope to reach a level A2 or even B1. Why not? :) I was researching and I found an affordable course on internet, obviously I will also take Italki class because the app has helped me to improve in French so I think to repeat the process with Arabic. Other goal is to study in France, I'd really love it! 💕 That would be really good not only for practing French, but also I'd be able to improve my career! Learning a new language is a super Power for me. In my opinion when you have the ability to understand and talk to a person who is a foreign it's that mindblowing moment, a real blast. I am so far away to being fluent in the languages I'm trying to learn but I'm already seeing and enjoying a lot of good things I discovered with the less that I know and it's changing my life.

I would love to know if English will still be the dominant language or if a new language will rise as the dominant language? If a class in Professor Sybill Patricia Trelawney’s class could show be the answer to my question, I would be so excited as this is something I’m extremely curious about.

In the next 5 years I see myself graduating from a German university for which I am currently learning German. For my short term goals, I am looking to learn Russian in the future, since Russian history fascinates me. I am a WW2 history buff and I would love to visit places with huge historical significance like the Reichstag building in Germany, Red square and Lenin's Mausoleum in Russia, Warsaw and Auschwitz in Poland only to name a few. I hope I am healthy and alive to achieve these short term goals.

I think that be kid is great, but when you are adult you can do a lot of thing that you don´t do when you are child, you need to work when you are adult but if you love your work It isn´t a problem and everydays will be an adventure.
