The Tongue Twister (скороговорка) Russian: На дворе трава, на траве дрова, не руби дрова на траве двора. Transliteration: Na dvore trava, na trave drova, ne rubi drova na trave dvora. English Translation: There is grass in the yard, and firewood on the grass; do not chop firewood on the grass of the yard! The words трава (grass) and дрова (firewood) use the same vowels and similar consonants, making your tongue trip easily when switching between them. It helps you master clear articulation of the trilled "r" sound (р) and soft/hard consonant contrasts.

My favorite letter ! Для тренировки звука [Ы] Этот звук отсутствует в английском языке, поэтому данная фраза особенно полезна. «Мышка мыла мишку мылом». Отлично тренирует контраст между звуками [ы] и [и] (мыла/мишку).
