In honour of our German heritage we celebrate Heilig Abend and new this year, the Rauhnächte. In honour of our North American heritage we celebrate Christmas. And in the tradition of a Celtic past we celebrate the Feast of Lights at Winter Solstice.

カメの　かめたろうが　うちに　きてから、もうすぐ　1ねんです。はじめは　げんきがなくて、うごかなくて、なにも　たべなかったけど、いまは　たかい　エサを　かったら、たべてたべて、また　たべます。くいしんぼうになりました。

　かめたろうは　ぜんぶ　くろいです。ブタみたいで　なんでも　たべたがります。ぼくが　うちに　かえってきたとき、かめたろうは　ねていても、いそいで　すいそうのところに　はしってきて、ちいさいめを　カパカパしながら、てを　ブンブンして　つめで　すいそうの　ガラスを　カチカチします。ごはんが　たべたいのかなぁ。ごはんはやく　ごはんはやくって　いっているみたいです。

　かめたろうを　みていると、おもしろくて　すきだなぁっておもいます。げんきになります。かめたろうは　ぼくの　ともだちです。

睡午觉就是中午的时候睡觉，一般睡很短的时间，比如睡30分钟、睡15分钟
你有没有睡午觉的习惯呢？很多中国人都有睡午觉的习惯。
如果你问一个在美国公司工作的中国人：“工作当中最不适应的地方是什么？”
很多人可能会想到文化差异、语言、思维方式（想问题的方式）等等常见的话题。其实，首先让他们不习惯的是：中午不方便睡觉

不同的办公室文化，是因为每个国家都有不同历史文化传统。对讲求个人空间和隐私的美国人来说，在办公室呼呼大睡，是非常不合适的。这时候，人们一般会喝一杯咖啡。

午睡、睡午觉在美国办公室文化中很少见到，但科学家开始研究午睡对午餐后困倦(post-lunch dip)的作用。睡眠专家David Dinges指出，在办公室、工厂和别的工作环境，人们在吃午饭以后的时段比别的上班时间更容易犯错误。也有科学家说，60分钟到90分钟的午睡，可以提高你的记忆力。

什么！在办公室睡觉！

今天我们要学的是 ——中国人怎么叫不认识的人！很多外国朋友来中国都会发愁："看到陌生人，怎么开口打招呼呢？" 别担心！今天我们就来学几个超简单、超好用的称呼，马上就能学会哦！
先学怎么叫年纪大的人！如果看到头发白、年纪大的爷爷，就叫 "大爷"（dà ye）！比如你在北京的胡同里想问路，就说："大爷，您好！故宫怎么去呀？" 爷爷会很开心地告诉你！
红柿多少钱？" 这样叫，奶奶会觉得你很有礼貌～
再学 "大叔"（dà shū）！"大叔" 是叫比爸爸妈妈年纪稍大的叔叔，大概 40-50 岁的男士。比如在便利店买东西，你可以说："大叔，我要一瓶水！" 对方会笑着给你拿水哦～
现在年轻人最喜欢的称呼是 "小姐姐"（xiǎo jiě jie）！看到年轻的女生，不管在哪里，都可以叫 "小姐姐"！比如在奶茶店，你想问："小姐姐，哪款奶茶最好喝？" 在商场想问洗手间："小姐姐，洗手间在哪里？" 这样叫，对方会觉得你很可爱，回答也会很热情～
🌟 这里有个小陷阱，要注意哦！
以前中国人会用 "小姐"（xiǎo jiě）称呼年轻女性，比如几十年前，大家去餐厅会说："小姐，麻烦买单！" 但是现在情况变啦！😯 现在很多地方听到 "小姐" 会觉得不太舒服，尤其是南方城市，比如广州、上海，这个词可能会让人误会。举个例子：假如你在餐厅喊服务员 "小姐"，对方可能会皱眉头，心里想："这个人是不是不太懂我们的习惯呀？"
所以记住哦，现在要把 "小姐" 这个词悄悄收起来，换成更可爱的 "小姐姐"，或者正式一点的 "女士"（nǚ shì）！比如在餐厅，你可以说："小姐姐，我的饭好了吗？" 或者对稍微年长的女性说："女士，请问这里可以坐吗？" 这样既礼貌又不会出错，就像给语言加了一层 "安全保护罩"！
接下来是最厉害的 "师傅"（shī fu）！这个称呼什么场合都能用！坐出租车时，对司机说："师傅，去火车站！" 修鞋子时，对修鞋的人说："师傅，我的鞋坏了。" 剪头发时，对理发师说："师傅，剪短一点。" 记住哦，只要对方在工作，叫 "师傅" 就对啦！
主播：中国不同地方的称呼还有小差别哦！比如重庆、四川，大家叫阿姨 "嬢嬢"（niáng niang），听起来像在撒娇："嬢嬢，来一碗面！" 在广东，不管多大年纪，男生都叫 "靓仔"（liàng zǎi），女生都叫 "靓女"（liàng nǚ），意思就是 "帅哥、美女"！所以在广州听到有人喊你 "靓仔"，别奇怪，就是在叫你呢～
还有两个正式的称呼："先生"（xiān sheng）和 "女士"（nǚ shì），开会或者正式场合用。比如："王先生，这是你的文件。"" 李女士，你好！"而" 同志 "（tóng zhì）以前常用，现在警察叔叔可能会说：" 同志，请出示身份证。"
主播：现在来做个小测试！大家跟着我一起说：
1.坐出租车时，怎么叫司机？→ "师傅！"
2.看到卖菜的奶奶，怎么叫？→ "大妈！"
3.问年轻女店员问题，怎么叫？→ "小姐姐！"对啦！大家都学会了吗？

那些称呼你知道吗？Do you know those terms of address?

When the end of the working week arrives, it can be a little harder to keep going.

If you work from Monday to Friday, you might find yourself thinking about the weekend as your brain and body get ready to rest. You may feel that you're getting less work done.

You might even feel this way near the end of each work day.

And a study from the US has found that yes, it's true — we aren't as productive and we make more mistakes in the afternoons, especially on Fridays.

While most of us could probably have guessed that result, the researchers said most studies in the past have just asked workers about their feelings related to their productivity.

But this one actually used data based on computer use, including how fast people typed and the numbers of typos they made.

The researchers, from Texas A&M University, looked at the computer use of 789 employees working from the office of a big company in Texas.

They studied them for two years and looked at their computer use at different times of the day and week.

And they found that computer use "dropped significantly" on Fridays.

One of the researchers, Taehyun Roh, said: "Employees were less active in the afternoons, and made more typos in the afternoons — especially on Fridays."

The authors added that results like this should encourage bosses to think about flexible working arrangements or four-day working weeks to get the best from their employees.
