PRESENT PERFECT tense - Is it about PAST or PRESENT? (SOLVED!)

The word “vacation” in Thai is พักร้อน (pák-rón)
พัก (pák) = to rest
ร้อน (rón) = ฤดูร้อน (réu-doo-rón) = summer
พักร้อน (pák-rón) = to go on vacation or to take a vacation/annual leave 

You can ask someone:
คุณจะไปพักร้อนที่ไหน (kun jà bpai pák-rón têe-nai) = Where are you going on vacation?
จะ (jà) = will
ไป (bpai) = to go
พักร้อน (pák-rón) = vacation/ annual leave 
ที่ไหน (têe-nai) = where

Now, let’s learn more phrases 

1. ไปเที่ยว (bpai-tîiao) = to go visit somewhere or go on vacation.
ไป (bpai) = to go
เที่ยว (tîiao) = to travel/ visit somewhere 

ผมจะไปเที่ยวเชียงใหม่ (pǒm jà bpai tîiao chiiang-mài) = I’m going to visit Chiang Mai.

ฉันอยากไปเที่ยวทะเลแล้วก็ดำน้ำ (chan yàak bpai-tîiao tá-lay láew-gôr dam-náam) = I want to go to the sea and snorkel.
อยาก (yàak) = to want to do sth
ทะเล (tá-lay) = sea
แล้วก็ (láew-gôr) = and, and then
ดำน้ำ (dam-náam) = to snorkel/ dive 

2. เที่ยวให้สนุกนะ (tîiao hâi sà-nùk ná) = Have fun. Have a great trip.
สนุก (sà-nùk) = fun

3. เดินทางปลอดภัย (dern-taang bplòt-pai) = Have a safe trip.
เดินทาง (dern-taang) = to travel
ปลอดภัย (bplòt-pai) = safe

4. กลับบ้าน (glàp-bâan) = to go back home
กลับ (glàp) = to go back
บ้าน (bâan) = home

This can also mean to go back to hometown to visit their family as well.

All right. We have seven phrases today. Let’s repeat again.

1. พักร้อน (pák-rón) = to go on vacation or to take a vacation/annual leave

The first time I saw this sentence, it was a shock. Because most of us modern people have been used to competing with people on various occasions. こんにちは！Atsushiです。
今日の天気は晴れ、でしたが雨が降ってきました。
気温は23℃。暑くなく過ごしやすいです。


さて、今日は私について、話します。
実は、今回のポッドキャストが50回目になりました！

ということで、私の話をしていきます。

改めまして、Atsushiと言います。
今、44歳です。
大阪で生まれ育ちました。
今は北海道に住んでいます。

去年まで20年間、コーヒーチェーンで働いていました。
もともとは体育の先生を目指していましたが、挫折し、コーヒーチェーンの道を選びました。
今はオンラインで日本語教師と、もう1つ別にオンラインコーヒーショップをしています。

趣味、好きなことは、ランニングをすること、Netflixを見ること、語学学習です。今は英語を勉強しています。前の仕事をやめてからは、気持ちに余裕ができたので、世界や日本の歴史も少し勉強しています。

あと、それから、5年前に結婚しました。
子供はいませんが、猫が1匹います。
みんなで仲良く暮らしています。
ちなみに、もう10年以上前の話ですが、離婚の経験があります。日本ではバツイチ、と言いますね。
あんまり必要ない情報ですが笑笑、そういう話をしたい方いれば、日本語レッスンで話ができます笑


オンラインで日本語を教えるのをはじめた理由は、オンラインだとどんな場所でもできるし、世界の人たちと言語を通してつながれると思ったからです。

いつか妻と海外に住みたいという思いがあります。
その為にも、日本語の先生ができれば、どこでも必要とされるかもしれない、と思っています。

この仕事をはじめてから、自分の考えや見えている世界が本当に広がりました。それと共に、言語や国が違うだけで、人はみんな同じようなことで喜んだり、悲しんだりするんだ、ということもわかりました。

でも言語の壁を超えるともっといろんなことが分かりあえるんだろうな、と思うので、自分は日本語や日本の文化をもっとみなさんに伝えたいと思っているし、みなさんの国のことや、言語、習慣などについても知りたいと思っています。

特にこの話にオチはありませんが笑
これからもポッドキャストはつづけますし、italkiのレッスンも長い期間、歳を取ってもつづけたいと思う仕事です。
