Everyone has an absolutely different life from others. But the books just told us the same stories from famous people or heroes. When we grew up, we obviously found that the only way which could lead us to success is to use the correct methods to solve our own problems. These methods usually come from people's experiences or mistakes. The elders have experienced the same things that we may have to go through as well, in that case, they don't want us to make the same mistakes (that) they have made. We should listen to the elders and learn from them. But for the young people, this is hard to do, they always laugh at the elders, thinking that their viewpoints are outdated and not fit for the modern world. Until they made a lot of mistakes and missed many great opportunities, they suddenly understand that the elders were correct. It is also a sign of maturity for everyone. I emphasize the importance of what we can learn from the elders, but it doesn't mean that learning from books is unimportant. We need more and more knowledge to change the world into a better one. But knowledge should be rooted in / based on reality, the most important thing we should remember is that we should use our knowledge to solve problems, not to prove we are better than others.
