“这么多”用来形容眼前的状况，或者是在离自己比较近的情况下使用。比如你就站在马路边上，就可以用“这么多车”。
“那么多”用来形容不是发生在眼前的事情，或者是在离自己比较远的情况下使用。前者比如你刚从外面回到家里，和你的家人说“刚刚外面有那么多车”。后者比如你站在离马路比较远的建筑物里，就可以用“路上有那么多车”。
