"to jounce"?
I was reading "A Separate Peace" by John Knowles and I found the verb "to jounce". What does it mean in this context?
"I jounced the tree! I jounced the tree limb to make you fall!"

I'm pretty good with words (I studied journalism in college) and I've never heard of the word "jounce." But, I looked it up and the dictionary says it means "to jolt or to bounce." This makes perfect sense in context. Good luck!

You have good taste in books! I love A Separate Peace.
But anyway, he shook the branch, it seems like.
