What does "I'll bet the odd against all" mean?
From Selena's song;
The bed's getting cold and you're not here
The future that we hold is so unclear
But I'm not alive until you call
And I'll bet the odds against it all
Save your advice 'cause I won't hear
You might be right but I don't care
There's a million reasons why I should give you up
But the heart wants what it wants

The "odds" are the likelihood of something happening. Here she's saying that she knows it's very unlikely that he will call or show up, but she is going to "bet" that he will.
Say that the odds of something are 1000 to 1 so 999 times out of 1000 it won't happen. She's betting (hoping for) the one time it will happen.

I think this means that someone has overcome great difficulties to accomplish something.
