Hello Kevin “Hello ” with its different meanings in English is expressed as follows in Chinese: 你好,你好吗? ni hao, ni hao ma ? As a greeting in the sense of " How are you ?" 喂 wei In the sense of "Hello "on telephone. 劳驾 laojia to attract attention in the sense of "hello there ".

there are many ways to say hello. if it`s your first time to meet a chinese.you can say 你好(ni hao). to greeting a old friends you can say 好啊(hao a)or 嘿,最近怎么样(hi, zui jin zen me yang). sometime we also say吃了没(chi le mei?)to greeting firiends when meet face to face after eating. we say “回来了啊?”(hui lai le a?)to greeting people backing home. we say "最近怎么样"(zui jin zen me yang?)to greeting old friends that long time no see. wo say"好啊"(hao a)to greeting fiends in msn or qq in the net.
