What would you want to see from an italki mobile application?

Are sports a waste of time, or great activities? Please explain.

I love sports. I play soccer (football) all the time, and I've played many sports during my life. For me, playing sports are an important part of my life. But I don't just play them, I also love to watch sports. Many people feel that sports are an uneccessary waste of time, especially watching professional sports. Sports have been a good way for me to connect to different people without actually knowing the other person. Through watching and playing sports I have met people from nearly every continet in the world. My favorite memories of meeting people through sports was when I went to the 2006 World Cup in Germany. There I met and talked with people from all over the world, and it was easy to talk to stragers because we all were there for the same reason, to watch soccer and have fun. 

 

What is your opinion on sports?

Mi primero classe esta hoy. Yo estoy excitado y un pocito nervoso. La classe es de ingles, esta solo un media ahora duración, y es una estudiante de China. Ella quiere practicar su pronunciación, así que hacemos una entrevista de trabajo simulado.

What is one interesting fact about your country that you want foreigners to know about your country?

Mi esposa no esta feliz con migo Ayer, cuando hable con mi esposa, ella decen no estar feliz con mis actividades en italki. Ella quieres practicar hablar en espanol mas con migo. Yo no se que decir a ella, por que me encanto hablar en espanol con ella, pero yo necessito mas practicar, y con gentes differencia. Y yo quiero estar mejor a hablando en espanol porque quiero impresionarla. Mi esposa es de Puerto Rico y esta una maestra buena. ¿Qué debo hacer?

Do you believe in aliens?

How could we be alone in this big universe? It would seem such a waste.

What are some funny stereotypes about people from your country? Not mean, funny.

I'm from the United States. When I went to Spain for vacation, many of the young people there thought I could rap (or "sing" hip-hop). This was because I'm African-American and because I dressed in a similar way to people in the music videos.

 

A stereotype is a belief (or a thought) about a group of people (in my example, peole from the United States), but that belief may not accurately reflect reality.

 

Stereotypes can be hurtful or mean, but they can also make us laugh. Can you think of a funny stereotype associated with people from your country?

 

Tip: If the thought, or stereotype, <em>might</em> make someone upset or made, or even might make you mad, then please do not post it. This is just a discussion question to get people to interact and practice their English writing.

Ayúdame a crear una lista de las más importantes palabras del vocabulario español Me gustaría crear una lista de las palabras del vocabulario más importantes para el estudio.
