A little about me I'm Gerardo from Argentina. I live in Buenos Aires but I grew up in a little town on the outskirts of this huge city. I'm an Systems Analyst and I've been a dedicated English student for many months. Every day, I try to do something to improve my English such as watching TV programmes, listening to radios from UK or watching movies without Spanish subtitle. I also make my homework which usually is a considerable number of exercises. Obviously, learning English is not all in my life. I enjoy spending time with my friends, and whenever it's possible, visiting new places in the countryside.

About my family I grew up in a traditional Italian family. My grandparents came to Argentina many years ago looking for a better place to live. The war had left many economic problems behind and the fear of a new war was present in people mind. My father was born there, however he arrived here being just a one year old child. Fortunately, they all found what they looked for as well as new home.

Coming back home I'm writing this text meanwhile I'm getting home on bus. I've just left work feeling exhausted.

Saturday night with friends Last Saturday night, I met with some friends. We had dinner in a Japanese restaurant located in the picturesque neighborhood of San Telmo, in Buenos Aires. Most of us ordered sushi and it was delicious in spite of being too expensive. I've never had dinner in a place like that. The atmosphere there was warm and the waitress very kind. To sum up, it was a very pleasant experience.
