Performing on the Stage 星光大道 A snapshot from our performance.

My participation in 星光大道 (English: Avenue of Stars) and meeting Lao Bi. (Part 1) I remember when I first watched this show on CCTV in China, I said to myself, wow, these people are really talented and they're so lucky to have this opportunity to come on TV and show off their talent. Never in my dreams I had ever seen myself being on this show and performing just like everyone else. As I kept watching almost every episode, I started to develop this strong desire and interest to do something like that. I'd been singing for long time already. But never had any opportunity to be known by alot of people, until two years ago. 2010, my brother, more like a friend who also had lived in China for over a decade, and had already appeared in various TV shows in China in the past, approached me with a proposal. To take part in the Chinese New Year's programme on Liaoning TV Shenyang. We put together few more foreigners and formed a group "Dong Bei Lao Wai 东北老外" (English: Northeastern Foreigners). We recorded a Chinese song and performed on stage. It was a nice experience. So the next year, in 2011, the same director from the same programme approached us and we did it again. This time more and more people started to know us. Same year, the first ever official Chinese version of a famous British talent show, The X-Factor (激情唱响) was launched in China and we were called upon by the organizers to participate in it. We did and we did well. Throughout this time, we still had the dream to be on 星光大道 which definitely is the biggest dream of every single person with a tiny little talent. But we never thought that we could be so, so lucky to have an opportunity to be on it. We had seen alot of foreigners taking part in it and succeeding as well. We heard from people that even having an opportunity to be on that show is a difficult task let alone winning it. So we worked hard, and thanks to our friends who helped us in every possible way. Arthur (Loong Music Factory) who polished our vocal skills and worked very hard on us no matter day or night. Albert (Loong Music Factory) who stuck with us throughout this time and taught us alot about on stage performances. All the other members of Loong Music Factory, whose continues support led us to achieve this milestone. Supertalented dance guru Teacher Zhang (Tieling) who made our dance steps better. These people worked really hard on us and always supported us whenever we felt down. (to be continued...)

My latest trip to Beijing.. It's been long long time since I logged in to Italki. Sure I missed it. I've been pretty busy recently. Just came back to Shenyang from Beijing yesterday after taking part in a TV Show. People who know they know very well "Xing Guang Da Dao" (Avenue of Stars). It was a nice experience. Nice and warm in Beijing. So is in Shenyang. I'm enjoying it. :))

The policeman asked for a description of the missing man. The wife said, "He is 35 years old, 6-foot 4-inches, has dark eyes, dark wavy hair, an athletic build, weighs 185 pounds, is soft-spoken, and is good to the children." The next-door neighbor protested, "Your husband is 5-foot 8-inches, chubby, has a big mouth, and is mean to your children." The wife replied, "Yes, but who wants 'HIM' back?" Enjoy!!!

Share your happiness, forget your sorrows. Just when you think the world isn't treating you well. Just when you think the life couldn't be any more harder. Just when you drown into self-pity. You see that young boy with no arms. And still able to play the piano with his toes as good as imaginable. You see that legless swimmer swimming into the lake just as good as a person with two legs. You see that little, disabled, blind child winning the 1st prize in writing contest. And then you take a good look at your perfect, healthy body and thank God for giving you a beautiful life.

New year's resolution. I chose 3 things as my NYRs., 1. Eat best. 2. Work out. 3. Sleep good. :)

The 8th Anniversary of my school. Today, my language school is holding it's 8th Anniversary Banquet and Gala. I was told to sing a Chinese song and I'm thrilled. lol. I'm anxiously looking forward to this evening. It will sure be alot of fun (except for boring speeches and applauding once in every ten minutes. lol) Have a nice day.
