I was born and bred in the Netherlands, and have lived here all my life. My hobbies are travelling throughout Europe by boat, getting to know cultures and studying British history. I am a dedicated teacher of English and Dutch, as well as a student of foreign languages. My interest in language learning led me to conduct research into innovative ways of teaching English in various European quarters. In 2019 I obtained a doctorate from Nijmegen University, for my dissertation on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL).教学经验
I have been a language teacher for over 40 years. I started teaching English in secondary school classes and throughout the years I have developed my English and professional skills. After I obtained my doctorate, I have worked as a referee for peer-reviewed scholarly journals which has given me expert insight in academic standards. I enjoy helping students in higher education with academic writing - whether this is in English or Dutch. Moreover, you can practise presenting your subject - I will listen and make notes that will help you improve your presentation.

I am a good and patient listener. The format of one-to-one teaching suits me best, because I can really pay attention to individual learning styles and needs. Therefore I would advise you to book a trial lesson first: it is important for me to know who you are, what your subject is and what you want to practise.
