As another year wraps up, I can tell that my Japanese has been getting better. Learning a language, for me, has always been a slow process, and I'm grateful for the endless amount of patience that Ami-sensei has shown.

Asami sensei is tutoring my 12 year old daughter and she’s really enjoying it. Asami-sensei is very organized and provides materials for my daughter to go over.

Amy sensei was very patient with me with my first lesson. I wanted to deep dive into Japanese and don’t have much experience, but she was very calm and patient with me even though she had to repeat to me a lot at times. Super grateful for Amy sensei! ありがとう ございます! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I have completed 11 lessons with Ami sensei and every single one has been really fun, informative, and helped me grow my confidence in Japanese. Whenever I have trouble with anything we're learning, she takes her time and goes over it with me until I feel comfortable. That amount of dedication makes me continue to book lessons with her, not to mention how encouraging she is. I hope to continue working with Ami sensei in my journey to become fluent in Japanese. I would highly recommended Ami sensei to any student who wants a detail oriented, kind, and energetic teacher!

Amy-san and I went through my assigned homework today involving particles. It has been an ongoing challenge for me, but we reviewed each question that needed correction, and she explained the rationale. She even included a visual guide (in both Kana & Eng) as a resource to help further reinforce the usage and reasoning. She was patient, and encouraging as we reviewed the material. Thanks again! 😊

Amy sensei is truly one of the best Japanese teachers on Italki. I wasn't able to book lessons in a while, but when I came back, it was like nothing ever changed! I love learning from her; she's patient, kind, and truly cares about my journey. I hope to be her student until I'm fluent!
