Mijn naam is Kiki. Ik ben geboren en getogen in Nederland.
I'm open, social and creative. The most important thing in my life is enjoying it and learning to find the path while being on the road. I look at what kind of opportunities the moment has to offer.
I've always been curious. I like to travel and meet people. However, I didn't make time for that during my study. Because I'm in my 30ties, I know that life is not forever. I hope to learn a lot about life here and to contribute with my creativity and open mind. I also hope to have nice conversations and to get a different perspective.

On Italki I'm the same cheerful lady as in real life.
I already love that you want to be there, because teaching one-on-one is heaven compared to a room full of uninterested teenagers who are forced by the law to study. Motivation is a big contributor for learning.
The most important thing is that you develop a sense of language through repetition and that you learn to express yourself in Dutch. That you dare to speak.
You will develop through mistakes and trial and error.

We just have a talk or if you start from scratch I give theme-oriented Dutch lessons with self-designed teaching materials.
It usually starts with introducing yourself in Dutch and exploring expectations.
After this, it can be about different themes such as:
practicing pronunciation using the alphabet, colours, numbers, telling the time, body parts, feelings and emotions, going to the doctor, vehicles and traveling by public transport.
The goal is to make my students enjoy learning. The content focuses on everyday language use. The lessons are focused on conversation, grammar is discussed, but it is definitely not the starting point.我的教学资料

I really enjoy Kiki's class and she really helps me a lot in learning Dutch. I started my class with her at a very beginning level, and she always encourages me, especially in speaking and writing. And she always gives me interesting materials to learn, and the materials she provides are various, from grammar to story reading and her colorful ppt that includes so many daily Dutch. I always feel satisfied after the end of the class, not only because I feel I learn a lot, but also feel energetic because Kiki is energetic and that encourages me as well. I really recommend people who wants to learn Dutch to join Kiki's class!

Kiki is one of the most outstanding Dutch language teacher on Italki. She is very knowledgeable, social and a natural conversationalist with whom practicing speaking is rewarding. I have gained much confidence in speaking and listening in Dutch through lessons with her.
