Hoi! I’m Dian, your friendly Dutch tutor from the Netherlands. 🇳🇱 Whether you’re a beginner or polishing fluency, I’ll help you speak naturally, just like locals do! My love for languages (I speak English, Spanish, and a bit of German) and years of travel, like living in sunny Spain, taught me how to make learning fun and relatable. I have a lot of experience with the art of teaching. The most important thing to me is create an environment where people enjoy their learning process, because how could you make progress when you aren't enjoying it? :-) Therefore, I would like to explore together with you what's working and what isn't. My style is basically having conversations together, because that's what it's all about in the end. Vanaf de eerste les praten we Nederlands met elkaar, want ja: dat is toch het leukst?! :-) & zo leren we het snelst. We can choose topics, or choose for a free conversation.
Are you ready to be corrected while having nice conversations together? As a teacher I will correct you every time in a gentle way. I want you to know what correct Dutch is and how Dutch people speak together. Therefore, I give many examples of how you could say anything.
I could also give you grammar/spelling lessons and work with homework.

Dian is an excellent teacher. I have been studying with her for almost three months now and my level of Dutch has improved a lot. I think she is very professional and can correct you without making you feel bad. She is also very empathetic, cheerful and knows much about the language... I highly recommend her!!

I really enjoy the free flowing conversations with Dian. Makes the experience feel way more natural and helps improve the words and parts I would struggle with most in everyday conversations.

In just a few lessons, the teacher helped me improve some Duch sounds ( not a dialect) I wasn’t learning the language for the first time, but I had never thought it would be possible to shorten the learning process to just a few days.

I had a great conversation-focused lesson with Dian! She discussed my needs and what I expected from the lessons and gave me feedback the way I needed. She was very helpful giving me tips for speaking more naturally and correcting my pronunciation, all while having a very nice conversation!
