My name is Julius and I come from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I am 39 years old and have almost 20 years of teaching experience. I have BA teaching degree in history for secondary education, but have spent most of my teaching years teaching Dutch and English. Over the past few years I also taught Dutch at a refugee center in the Netherlands as a volunteer to groups of Syrian and Ukrainian families, next to my normal job as IT specialist at the International School of Amsterdam.
Currently I live in Portugal, but I have lived in Holland, Spain and Ireland before. I love playing guitar/writing music (I sing in Dutch> Sptify Jules FK > Insta Julesfkmusic) , surfing and photography.教学经验
Characteristics that are important to mention and define me as a teacher:
1. I am patient. There is no point in rushing new grammar rules if the student(s) are lost. The student should never feel rushed.
2. I am sociable and friendly. This will make a lesson more and enjoyable for both the student and myself. I am also very interested in the student. I believe that a student learns better and quicker if the teacher shows genuine interest in the student.
3. I am creative. I have been a musician all my life. I believe there are many different and alternative ways of learning a language rather than just doing exercises from a textbook.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My lessons are always based around a theme or topic regardless the level of the student. In every lesson there will be room for: reading, writing, listening and speaking. I think that repetition is key in learning a new language. Repetition can be done in various ways, such as songs, games, poems or maybe storytelling.
Last but not least: Every lesson should be fun! If a lessons isn't any fun and boring even, there is little chance that the student will learn anything.我的教学资料
