Just completed my 100th lesson with Aya-sensei! Reaching this milestone is a testament to how much I enjoy learning Japanese with her. Every lesson is challenging in the best way—engaging, enjoyable, and tailored to help me improve. Looking back at where my Japanese was when I started lessons with Aya-sensei in January 2026 compared to where I am today, I'm truly amazed by how much I've progressed thanks to her guidance, encouragement, and patience. I genuinely look forward to the next 100+ lessons with her. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and motivating Japanese teacher, I highly recommend Aya-sensei!

Aya-sensei, the legend! I started out with Aya-sensei for her Japanese explanations and patience through basic conversations and essays I would do for homework. Over time, I can see the progress and impact Aya-sensei has on my Japanese, as well as my confidence that grew alongside with it. Aya-sensei gives me the flexibility and creativity to choose my own learning. Whenever I request to try out a new exercise (perhaps some grammar practice, or just today, starting out a mini-review of vocab per lesson), Aya-sensei always does her best to give out resources and her help! It's this type of support and consistency that makes my Japanese journey so much more enjoyable. Thank you so much Aya-sensei!

Aya-sensei is a very patient and encouraging teacher. Every week she sets me homework which we review during the lesson. I struggle with my listening, so she will often write her questions down to help me understand better. I really enjoy Aya-sensei's teaching style and recommend her to other students
