Hello, my name is Kristiina and I'm from Finland. As a lover of languages and different cultures, I'm here to help people from various backgrounds improve their Finnish.
I'm currently studying to become a Finnish as a foreign language teacher. Having studied multiple languages over the years (German, English, Swedish, Latin, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese), I can definitely empathise with the joys and sorrows of learning a new language. Therefore, my goal is to create an environment where people are not afraid to make mistakes and have fun.教学经验
As a Community Tutor, I am approachable and easy to talk to. I like lessons where you learn a lot while also having fun. I'm currently studying to become a Finnish as a foreign language teacher.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
We will practice Finnish in a relaxed environment.
Based on your wishes and skill level, we will look at Finnish texts and any relevant grammatical features, go through them together, and then practice them orally. I will support you by leading the conversation. We can also do role-play practice on real-life situations.
We can conduct the class entirely in Finnish, or in English and Finnish, depending on your skill level.
You are also free to bring your own material in case you have any questions about the Finnish language that you need help with.
Please note that I'm NOT a good fit for people looking to learn highly specialised vocabulary (e.g. healthcare sector).我的教学资料

I just had my first lesson with Kristiina and it was great. I felt listened, I had a really nice chat with her and I liked her method. She seems willing to really adapt her method to my goals and what I need, which is great!

I really enjoy our conversations with Kristiina, I am choosing a podcast's episode that I am interested about, send it to her, and she will make questions based on the theme of the podcast so that we can have very interesting chat together about this specific theme! I wouldn't have think being able to talk about loneliness or technology in Finnish but here we are! Kristiina is very nice, helpful and send me afterward the pdf with the questions and vocabulary that I needed! Kiitos!

hän on paras opettaja ever!! her lessons are well-organised, motivational and fun, of course. During my work and parenting, i attend her class several times and i find this class so encouraging and exciting! if you are in FFL environment(Finnish as a Foreign Language) where you cant hear any single finnish word at all in your everyday life like me, it's highly recommended!
