I have taken quite a few classes with Rafael by now and he is still a wonderful teacher who doesn’t only know a lot about the linguistic part put also history and can explain the roots of Brazilian culture. Furthermore he has excellent movie recommendations! Much appreciated :) obrigado!

Rafael's lesson are not only educational but also fun. His lessons are well structured and the topic of each lesson is adjusted to my personal interests. Rafael is patient and open and motivates me to talk a lot using a wide range of vocabulary of the various topics. Additionally he explains grammar, phonetics and vocabulary well and gives great recommendations for books, videos and films to further immerse oneself in portuguese. Overall would highly recommend

Rafael is a great teacher. He really challenges me to improve. His classes are so engaging. He introduces each lesson with a creative approach. I like that he tailors his lessons to my learning style. It doesn’t feel like he forcing me to fit his one style of teaching. I like that he uses movies, music, books, history, and pop culture to teach in addition to grammar. Each lesson is so different. You won’t get bored lol

Rafael has helped me realize how much my Portuguese has actually grown. His lessons go far beyond basic grammar and conversation. He challenges me to discuss more complex topics, express my ideas clearly, and use Portuguese in ways I didn’t even realize I was capable of. I’ve gained a lot of confidence and highly recommend him!

Rafael is a great teacher! He is so well prepared, and his curiosity makes every lesson so much fun. I get to improve my pronunciation by reading out loud, I get challenged on my listening skills while learning about Brazilian culture, and I learn grammar and new words throughout the entire lesson. He always makes me feel at ease, and he has a nice way of correcting my mistakes, so I don't feel bad. I also love that he gives optional homework, as well as recommendations for movies, podcasts or series to watch, so I can continue to learn until my next lesson :)
