I'm a teacher from the Netherlands that loves to explore new places! I love getting to learn about new countries and cultures. I'm a creative person that enjoys reading, drawing, photography and making clothes. Besides from that, I get a lot of energy from being outdoors, going on hikes, enjoying nature and spending time with family and friends.教学经验
I studied to become an international primary school teacher and have my Dutch teaching qualification as well. I have experience with teaching abroad in international schools for my studies and taught as a classroom teacher in a Dutch primary school for two years after finishing university. I also worked on curriculum design. After university, I also obtained my TEFL certification in Peru, where I realized I love teaching all different ages. I enjoy creating interactive lessons that require the student to think, but mostly ''do''. I believe that languages are best learned by being fully immersed in them. Students learn best through realistic situations and by getting a lot of time to talk. I value creating a bond with my students and learning about them as well, besides from just teaching a lesson and moving on with the day. Of course, this also helps to improve their English conversational skills!
I use ''dry'' materials, such as worksheets and reading exercises, but believe that a variety of learning materials is the best way to immerse oneself in a new language. Therefore, I also use media, games and creative assignments!我的教学资料

Dutch language teacherI started working as a Dutch language teacher (docent Nt2) for newly arrived immigrant teens, mostly refugees, arriving in the Netherlands. I worked at the ''Internationale Schakelklas'', where there was also a big focus on social studies and citizenship besides teaching Dutch. I taught students between 12 and 18 years old.

I highly recommend Kyra as an English teacher. She has helped me to improve my fluency in the language while providing feedbacks on my pronunciation and grammar mistakes. I feel much more comfortable (and confident) to speak with natives since I started taking classes with her.
