Mery is a fantastic conversation partner. She has a wide knowledge base, and our conversation touched on various topics about culture, society, health, current events, and history. I felt that it had a good balance between speaking and listening opportunities. I appreciated that despite her large knowledge base, she skillfully guided the conversation such that it was an exchange of ideas with a smooth flow. Mery is fantastic

My Spanish is limited, but I appreciate that Mery Hernandez does NOT speak English. She always figures out what I'm saying, and when we have a rare moment we need translation, typing into Google translate works. For me, making our lessons English-free has been an important plus.

Mery continues to amaze me at how steady she is in helping me to improve. We did 20 minutes of conversation, 40 minutes of work on the subjunctive, all of it very professional and useful to me.

Mery Hernández is energetic and thoughtful in her approach--at my stage, that means splitting our time between conversation and formal lessons with solid materials that she provides. I've learned a lot in both. I'm not quick with a new language, that's just how my brain is wired, but I'm more than satisfied with the steady improvements I've made with this fantastic instructor!
