She explains grammar clearly and always gives me plenty of opportunities to use what I've learned in real conversation, which really helps everything stick. She's patient, encouraging, and creates a comfortable learning environment. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a structured and practical approach to learning Japanese!

I've been taking lessons with Mami-sensei every week, and I have to say she is one of the best teachers I've come across on iTalki! She's a former schoolteacher so her explanations and speaking pace are just incredible. She's also fluent in English so that really helps with the explanations as well. In particular, I think she excels at leading the conversation and asking questions that keep the conversation going, so you can just focus on learning. After every lesson, she also sends detailed notes with all the vocab and sentences that were discussed, which is super useful for reviewing. Overall, I have recommended Mami-sensei to other friends and will continue to do so!
