Hi, I’m Gwenn, a Dutch teacher and confidence coach for expats and professionals who want to feel at home in the Netherlands and speak Dutch with confidence in daily life and at work.
Besides teaching, I work as a manager in public safety. Clear communication, structure and understanding people from different backgrounds are part of my daily work — and that’s exactly what I bring into my lessons.
I started teaching because I genuinely enjoy helping people build a life here. Language is a big part of that, but so is culture. Dutch people can be direct, informal or hard to read — and I help you understand not just what to say, but how and when to say it.
I’m also naturally curious and love connecting with people from all over the world. I’ve travelled extensively on my own (even driving from Amsterdam to Ghana), so I understand what it feels like to be in a new environment.
My students describe me as patient, structured and easy to talk to. I create a calm, supportive space where you feel comfortable speaking from day one — even if you’re not confident yet.
In our lessons, we focus on:
✔ speaking naturally in real-life situations
✔ building a strong foundation with clear explanations
✔ gaining confidence step by step
I work with motivated students who are serious about learning Dutch, whether for daily life, work or integration exams.
