I'm a former IELTS speaking/writing examiner, particularly interested in helping students with American accent coaching and writing. I have experience helping students improve their fluency and pronunciation. In writing, I help students develop ideas into a logical and natural-sounding phrasing.教学经验
I have 7 years teaching students learning English. I served as an IELTS examiner for the speaking and writing tests for 3 years. I typically help students with:
*accent reduction and pronunciation (see my videos at www.youtube.com/fluentamerican)

All classes are customized to student needs. However, the basic structure is as follows:
For writing classes, we will spend the time editing a writing sample you provide (prompts and questions can be given). We will review grammar, spelling, cohesion, vocabulary and structure.
For pronunciation, we cover four key concepts needed for a natural accent in American English: placement, pitch, breath, and weak consonants. We take a pronunciation test to find the specific areas of strength and focus before moving to sentence-level structures (intonation, linking, stress, reductions). Our long-term goal: to listen to native speakers, identify what techniques they use, and copy them ourselves.我的教学资料

I can't really say how much I value my lessons with Geoff. I've had probably over 20 tutors since I've started learning English but many of Geoff's inputs regarding my pronunciation and accent were new to me. Also, I really like the way his lessons are organised - providing supporting texts and recordings. Would recommend 100% to anyone wishing to work on his/her accent.
