Hi! I’m Joost, a native Dutch speaker originally from the Netherlands, now living in the UK. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Literary Studies and also studied to become an English teacher. I’ve taught at all levels of Dutch high schools, including at a Montessori school. I currently teach languages online, and I love helping students connect what they learn to real-life situations. Whether you're learning Dutch for work, exams, or personal growth, I’d love to support you. As a teacher, I’m patient, supportive, and focused on your goals. I’ve taught both children and adults, and I always personalize lessons to suit your pace and learning style. I’ve helped students prepare for job interviews, improve their pronunciation, and build confidence in speaking. I know from experience how challenging it can be to learn a new language, especially when moving abroad or preparing for an exam, so I aim to make the process as clear, practical, and motivating as possible. My Dutch lessons are relaxed, practical, and built around real-life use of the language. I focus on conversation, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, always tailored to what you want to achieve. Whether you're preparing for the inburgeringsexamen (integration exam), improving your Dutch for work, or just want to speak more confidently, I’ll help you get there. I use roleplays, everyday scenarios, and personalized exercises to help you speak naturally and with confidence.
