Former journalist, self-published author who writes under pen names, artist, avid reader, cinema lover and music fanatic. Some of my favourite authors are Jim Thompson, John Dos Passos, John Steinbeck, Isaac Asimov, Stephen King, Eugene Zamyatin, Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf, among many others. I could probably spend my entire life watching Stanley Kubrick’s films over and over again. I believe Frank Zappa is *the* composer of the 20th century. I walk outside for an hour every day. I love drawing imaginary things and having long, peaceful walks on the beach or in the woods with my wonderful life partner.

Carine is a wonderful teacher who always prepares interesting material for classes, offers corrections in a really helpful way, and is very patient! I've been taking classes with Carine for just over a year and she's made such a difference for me - I understand spoken French much more easily and my vocabulary has really improved. I highly recommend her!

Carine is an excellent teacher! She is very encouraging and patient, even when it takes me forever to form a sentence. She is a very warm and friendly person, and she makes me feel very comfortable during the lesson. Thanks to Carine I’m a bit more confident with my French. She is very well prepared, and dedicated, and I really appreciate the fact that she writes all the vocabulary for me, it’s really helpful! I enjoy lessons with Carine so much, I don’t even notice when the hour is up! I’m looking forward to our next class! Merci! 😊

Carine transcribes everything we say so that I can review, make corrections and have improved by the next session. She also sets and corrects homework. She gives continual, helpful, feedback and never in a patronising way. I would recommend her 100%
