Hello I'm Mym,
I'm a teacher, historian and a passionate linguist.
I was raised monolingual and I was always extremely admirative of people who could speak ANOTHER LANGUAGE! That was pure magic to me (still is!)
I am currently learning 10ish languages and it's a never-ending source of bliss for me.
I always feel energised when I get to speak, listen to or read in a foreign language, thinking "wow! this is not foreign anymore! it's happening! my dream came true!"
I have a Bachelor of Political Science, a Master Degree in History and a Master Degree in Finance and Strategic Planning from Sciences-po Paris
Currently studying Chinese for a Bachelor Degree at Dalarna University, Sweden.

My main values are kindness, curiosity and flexibility.
I specialise in helping people out of the plateau phase where progress seem non-existent and you are starting to feel less motivated.
I enjoy explaining the implicit values, norms of France.
My specialty is in French phonological volution.
I teach according to the methods used by successful polyglots, especially those who were born and raised monolingual to understand how to effectively master a language.

It is important for me to understand your goals and how you will know that you have reached them. It is crucial to get this feeling of excitment once the goal is reached ! it's one of the best feeling ever to get to speak a language that was once foreign and that is now part of who you are :)
My forte is identifying patterns and global trends and providing targeted feedbacks.
I provide systemic feedbacks based on your strengths and most common mistakes at the end of every lesson and we can talk about the overall trend

I've been surprised how easy it was to talk to "Mym" while improving my skills (at least a little bit) at the same time. I'm still a bad french speaker and afraid of conversation in french. But Myriam encourages me to keep pushing, even if she pushes me in an almost imperceptible way. She's very encouraging and supportive, so I'll try to book further lessons with her.

Very good, not much else to say :D
Mym catches on very fast when I get stuck, but still manages to give me a chance to test my memory and actually use the language. Great sense of timing, and not wasting time.
