Unlike less experienced instructors, Michela knows how to create a framework where even a cold beginner like myself is able to speak Italian (on limited, well-defined topics) during the sessions. Less experienced instructors talk at you too much and are not interested in your broken, painful to hear Italian. Not Michela. She's knows what is "good" coming from a beginner, and appreciates your slow, painful effort at piecing the words together. She enables you to actually practice the language. Surprisingly, less experienced instructors aren't so interested in that after the first session or two. Michela is also super energetic, positive, and encouraging, even late in the evening. She transforms learning Italian from painful to engaging.

Michaela is a wonderful Italian teacher who really hones in on your current language level in combination with your goals to identify the correct next steps in your learning journey. She formulates and adjusts next steps frequently as she identifies weaknesses in your current mastery of your language to get you closer to true fluency faster.

Al momento non posso recarmi in Italia, ma le mie conversazioni con Michela mi aiutano a mantenere il mio italiano. Lei e' un'insegnante davvero eccellente ed è una gioia studiare con lei. Susanna

We talked about literature and movies. All this work on Italian is paying off!!! Thank you Michela!!

È una gioia studiare italiano con Michela. La mia fiducia nell'italiano migliora e il mondo che conosco si espande ad ogni lezione. Susanna

Tried to review vocab and grammar from previous lessons. Looking forward to discussing the novel next week!
