Hello! I’m an American Linguistics student who loves learning and teaching languages! I have studied French, Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic, so I understand the challenges of learning a new language. I have lived in LA, Switzerland, Paris, and Mexico. I've traveled to different European countries and love connecting with people from diverse cultures. I believe that when we travel and learn about new cultures, we become more well-rounded people. As a teacher, I bring the same curiosity and adaptability I have as a learner, experimenting with methods and resources to find what works best for each student, just as I do in my own language study. I have been living in Paris for over three years now. I taught English to French children in middle and high school, and French to newly arrived refugees. I am pursuing a master's in Linguistics and Computer Science here in Paris. I have also taught kindergarten in Los Angeles and tutored students throughout high school. I have a TESOL certification and have been on Italki for about five years. I am very patient and will encourage you to speak, I find that it is the best way to learn. You can learn anything you want with practice and I hope you will consider me to help you reach your language goals; we'll laugh and learn together! Jordan is a really nice person and it's easy to talk with her. Aside of that she speaks the languages that I'm learning, which makes the communication easier to me, she's a great teacher. I'm certainly going to book a lot of more classes with her.

Jourdan is a very supportive French teacher. I typically get feedback from her during the class and additional feedback in writing from her after the class is finished. I truly enjoy her teaching style and because she's an English speaker she's great at helping me understand how French and English differ. I higly recommend her as a French teacher.
