My name is Svetlana, and I was born and raised in Moscow.
Languages are my passion, and I will happily help you to learn Russian, my native language.
I enjoy talking to people from different countries, learning about their cultures, and sharing my knowledge about the Russian language and culture with others. I realised that while studying languages myself, which encouraged me to quit my job as an economist and devote myself to studying and teaching languages. As a language learner myself, I know that the main thing is to be able to convey your message and be understood, which is why my lessons are focused on working on fluency.
I adapt my Russian and make it comprehensible to learners of different levels, so you will find that you are already able to understand Russian no matter how beginner you are.
I am an open-minded and easy-going person, and we can talk about a gran variety of topics.
I create a friendly atmosphere in my classes, which will help you express yourself with no barrier, and with no fear.

- During the lesson, we can just talk in a friendly and relaxed way or we can discuss a particular topic of your choice. I will send you materials such as videos, articles, podcast if you need me to beforehand.
- For the students who are native or fluent in Spanish, Italian or English, I also offer structured lessons to beginners as well as students at an intermediate or advanced level. Even if you are an absolute beginner I can teach in one of these languages while still making the lessons interactive.我的教学资料

Sveta certainly deserves five stars as she is such a pleasure to speak with while also providing you with a deeper understanding of the language. I've been studying Russian now for over two years and I have not come across any one better than her. She has been so integral to my language journey that I must recommend her to everyone.

My favourite italki lesson ever (and I have had many lessons over the past few months for four different languages)! Svetlana is a genuine polyglot, and her experience of learning languages is very useful if you're a language learner yourself. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone learning Russian!

Sveta es muy atenta. Ella atrae a un estudiante a la discusión e ilumina aspectos del ruso que no se pueden encontrar en un libro. Verdaderamente, creo que cualquiera que aprenda ruso estaría bien servido para tomar sus lecciones.
