Hi everyone! I’m Malcolm, a native British English teacher with 25+ years of experience. My background is unique—I spent 30 years in the film industry as a Propmaster, working across Europe and Latin America. This gave me a knack for clear, engaging communication, perfect for students who love storytelling or work in creative/IT fields (many of my learners are tech professionals!). I’ve taught at language schools in the UK and Spain, specializing in **Business English, IELTS, and conversational fluency**. Fluent in Spanish and French, I understand the challenges of language learning firsthand. Let’s make lessons dynamic—whether you’re prepping for an exam or mastering workplace English.教学经验
I'm friendly, patient and adapt my teaching style to the needs of my students. Apart from teaching, I have worked in finance, the film industry [30yrs] and have a wide work experience.
My personal interests are reading, travelling, salsa dancing and restoring vintage artwork and furniture
I like to encourage my students to contribute feedback so that we progress at the right speed and level of content.

I mix my teaching styles depending on the needs of the student which often means switching between Topics for improving Vocabulary, Grammar for increasing Accuracy and Conversation for improving Fluency.
I try not to correct every tiny mistake until my students are confident and are ready to take this step. Homework is encouraged but optional.
Seeing students improve each lesson is very rewarding for me and I look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Business English - Stafford House - 2021An online course covering the topics and resources required for teaching Business English at the Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate levels.

硕士 - CeramicsI only did a three year Cert.Ed course and l have lost the certificate. I have tried twice over the years to get a copy. However the college has been through several mergers and finally came under the umbrella of Brunel University.
I have an email from them confirming my attendance and pass at Cert.Ed from other records but unfortunately they cannot trace my actual certificate. A copy of the email is uploaded.

Part-time English Language teacherHave been teaching visiting French school students visiting UK on short cultural visits.
This has enabled me to highlight common problem areas of language in a very short time, as the visits are for only 1-2 weeks and the lessons are for only 15hrs a week.
2013 - 2018
Part-time English Language TeacherI was teaching small groups [normally 6 students] of German students on two week visits to the UK.
I taught 21hrs over the two week periods. [ages 13-18yrs]
I also taught One-to-One over two week periods, 22.5hrs.
Students expected to cover their chosen areas of weakness, so a lot of Grammar and Skills covered in a short period of time.
