Yuko sensei is fun to work with. She does her best to type the words I don’t know on our shared Google Doc. This allows me to catch common words and practice them. I should practice more, but our agreed on speech first allows me room to flow and have fun making up sentences. She’s fantastic!

Yuko-sensei is a born teacher. She is the best of the best, on iTalki or anywhere else. I've studied many languages with many teachers, and Yuko tops them all. Why? 1) Yuko is smart--really smart. And I don't just mean that Yuko speaks great english (she does!) or that she understands Japanese grammar well (she does!). I mean that she can engage on many topics and still have something interesting to say. Once you get past talking about Takeshi and Mary's dating life, trust me, having an intelligent, interesting person to talk to is priceless. 2) Yuko sees you. Her ability to dynamically adjust her speaking and writing level is more elegant than anyone I have ever worked with, period. She remembers what Kanji you've seen and forgotten, she remembers the words you always mix up. This is how she walks the line of pushing you hard without frustrating you. During our time together, I truly feel Yuko and I have become friends, and I am so grateful to be one of her students. -- Liam

Yuko is a fabulous teacher. There is a reason that she has taught over 3500 lessons. This because she excels at what she does and she is very encouraging. For anyone who hasn't taken one of her lessons yet I suggest you do. It will be the beginning of a great journey studying with a wonderful person.
