I have a Bachelor of Science degree (I studied Environmental Science, and Physics and Space Technology), and numerous English teaching, educational theory/ethics qualifications.
I am very skilled at explaining complex subjects, and love teaching English with science, ecology and general knowledge lessons!
I am lucky enough to have taught most of my students for many years, and I have watched many grow from knowing just a little school English, to being able to read and communicate effectively. I truly feel that they are my international family! 💕教学经验
Humans have EVOLVED to absorb languages, making links with everything around them, children learn so much more when they are not focussed on learning!
I like to teach in a way that models correct language usage organically, introducing vocabulary and language forms indirectly, in the same way that parents teach their own children their mother tongue.
Over many years I have learned that this is by far the most effective way to teach children to speak natural sounding English effortlessly and without fear, allowing them to use and adapt the language they know to communicate effectively, effortlessly gaining confidence and language fluidity!我提供的课程和我的教学风格
In our lessons, we do not just learn English, we learn IN English!
We will read some level appropriate material together, and then talk and answer questions about it. I have books about nearly everything, the most important thing to me is that the student is INTERESTED, listening and talking whilst engaged in the SUBJECT rather than just thinking that they are learning English!
We will practise any pronunciation issues as they arise, we may do silly exercises, singing or tongue twisters. We may play games to practise spelling or a specific language/grammar point.
I am always especially happy when students unconsciously correct themselves whilst concentrating on winning a game!我的教学资料
