My name is Amiel and I am the most amiable teacher you can find on italki! I teach English and Filipino (Tagalog) in a fun and effective way. I love traveling and enjoy learning languages and different cultures. Being a language learner myself, I understand the difficulties in learning a new language. I've been a teacher for 15 years, both in a classroom setting and online. Over the years, I have had wonderful opportunities teaching diverse group of students from different countries. I have become proficient at designing creative and stimulating lesson, which accommodate various levels, bring a hands-on approach to learning, and keep students interested and focused. My lessons are based on the skills and interests of my students. I assess my student first, talk about his/her goals in learning the language then decided on which materials to use. After each lesson, I give assessment and commend every progress made. A copy of the lesson is sent before and after the class to make sure that he/she can prepare and review the topics discussed.
