I have been talking with Martin every week for a year now and he has been amazing. I started out with a lot of grammar lesson and after his help I am able to converse with him for the whole lesson(with lots of help still) Martin is very caring and patient, he really cares for his students and talking with Martin has become something I look forward to every week. I have tried other teacher and Martin is the best. I’ve never felt judged or fear of saying something completely wrong, he allows you time and space for you to be yourself and make mistakes.

So far I've had 2 lessons with Martin. I am a beginner and I know it is not easy to know where to begin with someone like me. To his credit, Martin has been patient in these meetings, and has identified concepts that I need to address right away. He explains things when making corrections. He gave me some homework, which I appreciate, because although I can be self-directed to some degree, it is nice to have structure when preparing for a class. I plan on taking more classes with Martin!

I've had a few lessons with Martin, and liked his lessons. Unfortunately for our last lesson he was about ~1:40 late and then after some nice conversation he needed to spend a little time looking at what grammar we could do. Overall I liked the lesson, so I wrote Martin afterwards and asked if in the future it would be possible for him to be on time and prepare a lesson. He blocked me.

I genuinely cannot recommend Martin highly enough. He has a remarkable ability to make learning Italian feel natural, enjoyable, and rewarding. His lessons are engaging, thoughtfully structured, and tailored to your level, making it easy to see real progress while genuinely enjoying the process. What sets Martin apart is the atmosphere he creates. Learning a new language can feel intimidating, but he makes you comfortable enough to speak, make mistakes, ask questions, and improve without ever feeling self-conscious. He explains things clearly, has endless patience, and knows exactly when to challenge you and when to offer encouragement. Perhaps the best compliment I can give him is that I always look forward to our lessons. He doesn't just help you understand Italian; he helps you develop the confidence to actually use it. You leave each session feeling a little more capable and motivated to keep learning. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Martin is a wonderful teacher. He is patient, encouraging and always takes the time to correct you and explain things when you make a mistake. He keeps the class fun and energetic. Highly recommended!
