Hey there! I'm Ed, I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I am native in English and Portuguese. I've been teaching both languages for 4 years. Before teaching, I studied Industrial/Systems Engineering. I've worked as a translator/interpreter. I'm getting my TEFL Certification to enhance my teaching skills.
I love languages! Currently, I speak Spanish, French, Italian and I am learning German. When I'm not teaching, I spend time playing football and basketball, playing guitar, watching movies, or staying active at the gym or pool. Music keeps me energized, and I'm a fan of tech and programming. I enjoy chatting about different things and meeting new people. Let's start this adventure together!教学经验

I liked having conversation in English with Edmilson because he is patient, kind and engaging! He motivated me to speak as much as possible in English because he asked interesting questions about me, my interests and hobbies and my country. He adapted lesson to my needs and preferences in topics. Also he gave me interesting activities to participate in during the lesson. He asked me to choose an option and explain why I chose one option over the other. And he also gave me the chance to ask him any questions that I had in my mind. He is respectful and nice and he likes teaching languages to other people because he is interested in learning languages and meeting new people! It was nice to meet him and have an interesting conversation for today!

I sent a specific usage question ahead of my most recent lesson and Edmilson reviewed and explained everything very clearly with examples. We finished the lesson with exercises to make sure I understood.
