My name is Estevam. I'm a linguist, specializing primarily in Historical Linguistics and the Linguistics of Romance Languages. I speak several languages and have academic training in this field. Languages are both my profession and my passion.

I've been working as a language teacher for over 10 years and have taught several languages, including Portuguese, Galician, Asturian, Spanish, Valencian/Catalan, Occitan, French, Italian, Latin, Greek (both Ancient and Modern), and Nheengatu.

In my classes, I always begin with an assessment of the student's knowledge and progress. Based on this assessment and the student's interests, we tailor the content to ensure it is useful and essential for the learning process. The exercises and clear explanations I prepare as a linguist are presented in a simple and straightforward manner.

During that period, I taught Spanish and Greek (both Ancient and Modern) and also served as a substitute teacher for other languages, such as Latin and Hebrew.

Estevam is a brilliant listener. He can detect pronunciation mistakes very quickly and correct you on them. For example, when I said,
"Brazil" He corrected the pronunciation to be,
"Brazioo." He said all words that end in L should be pronounced with an oo sound. There were many other pronunciation mistakes I made which he picked up on too. I think Estevam is an expert in Portuguese pronunciation.
His English is perfect as well. You can have a magnificent conversation with him just using English.
Estevam also tailored the class to my needs. He asked me at the start if I wanted to actually learn the language or just learn Portuguese for specific situations. I said I wanted to learn just for specific situations and he tailored the class for me.
Estevam doesn't provide English translations for most of the new phrases so it's a more immersive experience in the Portuguese language.
He is a very kind and patient teacher. He is very friendly and fun to talk to.

Estevam is the best teacher ever. I retuned back to him after I tried a couple other teachers. He listens well and he helps a lot. He is extremely patient and has a great sence of humor. He understands how to help with my individual challenges. My classes with him make me happy, as I get a lot of positive emotions and learn smth new every time.

Estevm es un profesor fuertísimo en su habilidad de enseñar como polygloto. Tuvimos nuestra sesión de clase de latín en español. Es tiene mucha experiencia en cambiar entre lenguas múltiples y explica perfectamente en cada lengua.
Yo tengo el nivel principiante en latín. Soy anglosajón pero prefiero aprender el latín en español. Sin duda el profesor lo ha cumplido muy eficientemente. Mil gracias.
