Grew up as a British-Irish immigrant in a French speaking minority in Dutch speaking Belgium.
Got into rock'n'roll drumming as an early teen. Studied ancient Greek and Latin philology (grammar and literature) and philosophy before traveling the world as a farm hand.
Developed a passion for letter press printing while living in San Francisco. Studied Japanese doll making and textile dying and b/w photography for four years. Am a field hockey goalie, a boulder climber and a kung fu learner.

Trained in ancient Greek and Latin grammar, etymology and poetry, I love to share my passion for the undercurrents of communication and expression with interested spirits.
Trained in graphic communication and letterpress printing I love the power of the shared word and see teaching a language first and foremost as a way to empower the learner in interacting freely with her/his whereabouts.
CELTA-certified the didactic methods are communicative: two poles being accuracy (being grammatically correct) and fluency (feeling at ease while speaking).. this makes for dynamic teaching with lots of interaction and student participation, ideally you take the classes with a friend for the same price!我提供的课程和我的教学风格
Most of the lessons(as a community tutor) are conversational: I'll send you material, that we use for everyday conversation: TV series, books, news articles, encyclopedia entries, novels, movies,etc.
There'll be three types, focusing on three aims:
everyday communication for all levels:
discussion of newspaper articles and encyclopedia entries as well as writing essays and discussing them (for intermediate and advanced learners);
fiction is also an option: songs and stories, read and discuss poetry and why not write some stories together (all levels, but mostly mid-to upper, although lullabies and children stories work very well with beginners). thanks for your considering me teaching you!我的教学资料
