Sonia tested my current level of Japanese knowledge early in our lesson to get a sense of where to start with me. She displayed vocabulary and helped me with pronunciation. She then tested my reading skills with Katakana. It is obvious she has taught many students and has a clear plan of how to approach teaching a beginner. I appreciated learning with her.
