Hi! My name is Luis. I am a certified Spanish and English teacher from Mexico.
I love teaching and playing music. I am a passionate language learner. I enjoy discovering new cultures and connecting with other people. I was blessed to grow up in a bicultural city in the borderland between Mexico and the US. That helped me open my mind to other ways of seeing life. At the same time, I realized that learning a new language is the key to reaching other people's hearts. Besides my native language, Spanish, I also have a C2 in English, B2 in Italian, B1 in German, and A2 in French. I also speak basic Nahuatl.
I am constantly looking for new and effective ways to learn and teach languages.教学经验
I have over 5 years of experience as the CEO of a local language center.
I’m in charge of preparing the language center curricula according to the CEFR for the Spanish and English programs. As part of my daily activities, I have to train new teachers, coach them and observe their lessons and coordinate the entire center. I’m responsible for placing new students in their proper groups. I’m constantly in contact with publishers like Difusión, Edinumen, Richmond, Cambridge, Oxford, etc. I have worked alongside prestigious institutes like IH México and The Anglo Institute, creating strategic alliances to help my students achieve their max potential and get certified.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
I use a methodology with a fully communicative approach during class. This means that you'll be speaking and interacting in your target language right from your first lesson.
I also combine different methodologies like TPRS-CI (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling - Comprehensible Input), the Natural Approach, developed by Dr. Stephen Krashen, TBLT: Task-Based Language Teaching, TPR: Total Physical Response, among others. My youngest students are 5 and my oldest ones are 60+.
I also love to teach everyday language and slang expressions during class, so that way you can truly interact with native speakers. During our lessons, you'll also learn about Mexican culture.我的教学资料

I have been taking lessons with Luis for a few months now and he is nothing short of terrific! I thoroughly enjoy every lesson we have and always leave feel energized, uplifted, and looking forward to the next one. He is organized and leverages tools like Google Classroom and Zoom Annotations to help me get the most out of each lesson. The activities and conversations we have in class are always fun and interesting. Already I have noticed significant improvements in my ability to use the preterit and present perfect. I also have noticed a big improvement in my vocabulary thanks to Luis' great homework suggestions and despite the fact that I haven't ever used flashcards, etc. Looking forward to many more great lessons!

I have had several lessons with Luis His classes are always interesting and enjoyable. He is able is able to gauge my pace of learning (i.e. he is able to personalize his lesson to conform to my needs.) I always have a good time when I'm taking a lesson. He is an extremely skillful teacher.

I have been studying with Luis for a few weeks now. He is always well prepared and in good humor. Since I am a bit of a perfectionist, he knows to zero in on small grammatical details as well as major corrections—but he never makes you feel insecure. Luis provides a variety of activities to reinforce every lesson. I have had a number of teachers throughout my Spanish journey and I thoroughly enjoy his energy and commitment to helping me learn.

I am back after 2 years because I had decided to learn Italian. I remembered my great lessons with Luis and since I have decided to return to my Spanish studies, I booked a lesson with him. He helps me when I say Italian words and corrects me, which I like. I LOVE my time with him ... it is so much fun and no stress. Gracias Luis!
