Hello, my name’s Joe. I’m a professional English teacher with a CELTA qualification and nine years of experience. Before moving into education, I worked as a corporate lawyer specialising in business law.
Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about music and I'm the lead singer in a band called Mosaic. I'm also into healthy living: I work out regularly, meditate daily, play football, and enjoy cooking.教学经验

I was a corporate lawyer for five years, a university lecturer in business English for three, and a teacher for some of the world’s largest companies. I've taught English in Japan since 2016. My lessons are enjoyable, discussion-based, and focused on helping you speak as much as possible. I ask the questions — you do the talking. All lessons are original and often include videos, self-assessments, text analysis, listening exercises, and role play to keep each session engaging and unique.

Chukyo UniversityI lectured in business English focusing on all aspects of the English language including pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading and writing. LawyerI was a legal executive specialising in the defence of litigated claims. I represented banks, insurance companies and large multinational corporations.
The position required the highest possible standards of written and spoken communication in English. Each day I wrote more than a hundred professional letters and emails, negotiated with other lawyers, reported to executives, directors, CEO's and business owners and often gave speeches and made persuasive arguments in court.
