With over 25 years of working as a coach in business environments and CELTA certified in English Language Teaching (Grade A) and as a specialist in IELTS exam prep, I distinguish myself from traditional teachers by involving you, the learner, in shaping your LEARNING JOURNEY. I use COACHING techniques such as SMART goal setting, quality questioning and strong listening skills to adapt your course to your needs. I not only TEACH you the skills, I MOTIVATE you to practise and build your CONFIDENCE when using English. I will guide you to practise your skills in both the lesson and where you work. In my lessons you will know exactly where you are going in your LEARNING JOURNEY. You will have constant access to a PERSONALISED Google Drive folder which will ACCOMPANY you in your journey. We will place your goals and action plan, materials from the classes, practice activities, error correction feedback and learning evaluation there. In each class we will FOCUS on typical business scenarios and look at the associated GRAMMAR, PRONUNCIATION and VOCABULARY problems that students experience. I will give you constant and constructive FEEDBACK to break those frustrating error habits and help you to achieve success in English, in both BUSINESS and in LIFE!

Course InstructorIn 2018 I was looking for a new teaching challenge and wanted to explore the world of online learning platforms.
Since then, I have managed a virtual classroom of up 50 students at La Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University). I enjoy motivating my students to achieve their goals and improve their English, related to their chosen degree subject, IT.
I use Moodles, the Google suite, video upload via LangBlog and a vibrant noticeboard to support and encourage my learners.

Training & Development ManagerOn returning from my world tour, I felt the desire to further develop my training skills and continue to build my ability to help business people through coaching.
I began my role as a Training & Development Manager, which involved delivering sessions ranging from technical computer-based training to behavioural soft skills, to groups of up to 30 delegates, from regional managers to cashiers. I developed my coaching skills, providing in-branch coaching sessions.

Telesales RepresentativeAs a compliment to my initial career development in Training and Coaching, I decided to further strengthen my life experience and interpersonal skills by travelling the world from April 1996 - April 1998.
During this time I lived and worked in Melbourne, Australia, where I learned to adapt to different cultures, both within business and life.

Training OfficerThis is where I got my first taste of helping business people to improve their skills. I ran induction training for groups of new entrants which began my lifelong passion for Training and Coaching.

Insurance OfficerI gained my first steps into the business world, when I achieved a place on the Accelerated Management Training Scheme. This gave me a varied insight into how the corporate world worked and a strong interest in making things better.
