Hi, My name is Pieter! I'm 36 years old and I was born and raised in Leuven, a cozy, beautiful city in Belgium, near Brussels. Languages have always interested me and my own language, Dutch/Flemish has become a recent passion of mine. So much even that I decided to start a podcast where I talk about different subjects in Flemish. My hobbies are walking in nature, watching series/movies, VR gaming, exercising, and reading. During my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. If you have any more questions, just ask away! ;)

I have taught people different subjects, including Flemish and Dutch. I do believe that lessons need to be fun and interactive, as the more our brain is engaged, the more we memorize the things we are learning. Therefore I usually work around themes that my pupils are interested in and work further from there. I'm a kind, understanding, and patient teacher, but I do expect a certain autonomy and discipline from my students.

Nowadays, I mainly focus on three things: - Pronunciation (Flemish or Dutch): I will teach you the correct way of saying all our vowels, consonants, and combinations. I tend to give a spend at least a couple of lessons on this because an incorrect pronunciation is very difficult to correct later. - Study- and motivational techniques. If you feel your motivation is low or you want to know if there are tools out there that would make your progress go faster, then I'll gladly help you with that. - Conversation table: Once you're at a high enough level (B1-B2) to have some conversations, let's do that! It will always be about subjects you enjoy :)
