Brian is perfect for anyone who wants to practise actually speaking French, rather than having someone speak mostly English and never really learning the language. He is patient and understanding, and even when I feel like giving up, he explains things again in slower French. That has been perfect for me as someone who has tried to learn French before but felt like I wasn’t progressing. His lessons push you to speak French, which has been really helpful for my development. If you want to actually learn to speak and have real conversations in French—not just memorise vocabulary that may not feel practical—I would definitely recommend him.

I look forward to lessons with Virginie each week. We have fun and real conversations, and I can’t believe I’m able to converse so well and am able to express myself in another language. Virginie has been pivotal to my improvement as she takes notes during our conversations, so that I know where I need to improve. I feel relaxed and encouraged in my lessons with Virginie. Virginie is a fabulous teacher that I highly recommend!

Gaëlle is an absolutely wonderful teacher! My 8-year-old daughter Margaret has only recently started learning French, and she already looks forward to every lesson. Gaëlle has a fantastic way of connecting with children. She is energetic, creative, patient, and makes learning feel like fun rather than schoolwork. They sing, laugh, play, and learn together, and Margaret genuinely enjoys every minute. As a parent, I couldn’t be happier. Finding a teacher who can inspire a child to love a new language is something special. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Gaëlle, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a wonderful French teacher!

Benjamin helped me so much in improving my French abilities. I remember I could barely speak in French but after 8 months, I was able to achieve B2 in TCF on first try. His advice on the exams really helped. Highly recommend!!

Antoine helped me prepare for the TCF every lesson. Although I was on a time crunch I was able to practice for multiple topics with him. He’s very patient and informative. I would recommend him to everyone who wishes to improve their french or practice for an exam!!

An excellent lesson with Manon. Her teaching methods help me build vocabulary in French and she helps make my French sound more natural with exercises and discussions. I feel my French getting better with each lesson. Amazing teacher ! I will keep getting lessons with her. She’s great ! Merci beaucoup Manon !

I have been taking lessons with Soulaimane for several months now, and I can clearly see the progress I have made. He has helped me improve my language skills, become more confident, and especially speak more naturally and fluently. His lessons are always enjoyable, well-structured, and adapted to my needs. He creates a comfortable environment where I can speak freely, practice, and learn from my mistakes. I highly recommend Soulaimane to anyone who wants to improve their speaking skills and gain confidence in the language. Thank you, Soulaimane, for your patience, support, and dedication.

Johanna was really great, and I'm very excited to be on this journey with her. She really made me feel at ease, which is impressive because I'm naturally quite shy and also a perfectionist -- which makes speaking in a foreign language very difficult. My level is very mixed because my learning path hasn't been straightforward, and I've used many different methods; but Johanna was able to identify a plan that I believe will work well. I feel very confident that I'll be able to improve my speaking while also shoring up basic grammar structures. She exuded calm and is clearly very organised and experienced.

Well, that's my last review here. I got NCLC7 Expression Orale and NCLC9 EE in my FIRST TEF. This is definitely due to following Youcef's lessons with discipline. If I could give anyone a single advice onto how to get this score, it would be: do not go any farther over Italki searching for a teacher. Start your lessons with Youcef today and stick to the plan, trust the process. Have discipline and study with him. Studying with him is having a friend who really cares about your success and knows everything about the french exams; not only a teacher who corrects mistakes. As I scheduled this last lesson, I only had one objective, and I did it: I taught this phrase my wife and we said together : Merci beaucoup, Youcef !!!

She is the best for both the General French and the DELF preparation! As for the General French, over 4 years my learning experience has evolved thanks to her approach to tailor the lessons. I learn French for a professional objective, and my situation has changed: the language level, the responsibilities on the job, and the context of the work. Accordingly, she has constantly adapted materials and methods. That has developed my skill in an organic way. In terms of DELF preparation, she guided me step by step. At the beginning, DELF felt daunting. She began with basics but the guidance did not limit to them: from the grammar to the quality of arguments, from required vocabulary to nuances and precision, from pointing out recurring errors to identifying the areas to develop. By the day of the test, the fear had transformed to confidence. She walked me through the learning journey with a strong engagement and encouragement. That motivated me and consolidated my French. Thank you Jade!
