I've been waiting years for a Frisian teacher on Italki, so I'm so glad Wietske joined the site. I enjoyed chatting with her and she was extremely patient with my limited and rusty Frisian. Recommended to those who want to learn Frisian (and you really should!) Tankewol, oant sjen!

Alie is a rockstar! She's lovely to deal with, very good at what she does, generous with her time, and eager to help. Alie knows several languages; moreover, Frisians who are fully literate in their native tongue are a rare breed indeed. Rarer still are those who can teach Frisian in a foreign language! (English or Dutch). My goal of getting proficient at Frisian, especially in reading, is realistic now. I'm so glad I found Alie.
