Professionell Deutsch lernen mit Spaß und Struktur! Ich habe Phonetik, Linguistik und Psychologie studiert und meine Doktorarbeit über die Kognition von Sprache geschrieben. Ich unterrichte seit vielen Jahren im Einzel- und Gruppenunterricht, in Präsenz und online. Ich habe auch die Qualifikation als telc-Prüferin (B1-C2) und bereite Schüler erfolgreich auf Goethe-Prüfungen vor. I studied phonetics, linguistics, and psychology and wrote my doctoral thesis on language cognition. I have been teaching German for many years to individuals and groups—both face-to-face and online, privately and groups (VHS). I am a qualified examiner for the German telc certificate (B1-C2) but I am also experienced in preparing students for the Goethe exam.

Wir haben Konversationen über allgemeine Themen wie Urlaub, Sport oder Politik. Wichtig ist, dass man viel übt und konstant spricht. Dabei verbessern wir die Aussprache und Grammatik. Die Arbeit mit den Schülern macht mir sehr viel spaß, da man Leute aus der ganzen Welt kennenlernt und ich sehr interessiert an verschiedenen Kulturen bin. Ich bin froh, wenn ich Menschen helfen und ihnen meine Muttersprache etwas näherbringen kann.

A language has different aspects: reading, writing, speaking and listening. Thus, we´ll cover all aspects during our lessons.

Speaking is the best way to learn a language, so my lessons usually center around having an actual conversation in German, but I will also give you grammar instructions and help you with pronunciation as and when necessary. If you struggle with any particular grammar topic, we can of course also dedicate a whole lesson to that. Generally I'm happy to adapt myself to your needs and preferences. While we talk, I make extensive notes in a google document, I write down new vocabulary with example sentences, grammar instructions, corrections, etc. You'll have access to this document during and after the classes.

Als ich Spanisch gelernt habe, hatte ich zunächst Hemmungen, mit MuttersprachlerInnen zu sprechen. Deshalb kann ich es gut nachvollziehen, wie schwierig es sein muss, Deutsch zu sprechen. Ich möchte als community tutor zeigen, dass man sich gut auch mit einem niedrigen Deutschlevel mit MuttersprachlerInnen unterhalten kann, da die richtigen Endungen von Wörtern etc. nicht unbedint notwendig sind, um Inhalte zu verstehen. Deshalb möchte ich mit Konversationen das Selbstvertrauen im Deutschsprechen vergrößern.

We all have strengths and weaknesses. I would say one of my strengths is that I am patient. My goal is to identify what level you are at and go from there – as simple as that. Thus, you can be a complete beginner, already very advanced or anything in between. I am happy to help you with whatever you’re having difficulties with or whatever you want to work on. While I genuinely want you to improve your German I also very much enjoy light heartedness and laughter. I think these two things go hand in hand. Therefore, I think my sessions can be both fruitful and enjoyable.
