As a teacher, I find myself functioning in the role daily with people. Whether to a Greek speaker on English or vice versa, I go to deep lengths to reach the true meaning of things and convey it to people. I've also been hosting Biblical Greek studies to people for about 4 years consecutively. So I figured I would turn passion into a joy job. Listening to the student and meeting them at their level, is key. The teaching comes first; getting paid is secondary. If I see progress in a student, and especially if I see joy in their eyes, that's having fun for me. And I can only achieve this effect if I prioritize tailoring myself around the student.

However, I don't let any rule I have set prevent us from having fun. I have worked as a Greek Second Language Tutor for the last six years after I quit my job as a journalist and a digital editor with magazines and newspapers. Since 2023, I have been back to journalism, yet teaching keeps making me happy. I give Greek lessons to English speakers of B1 level and above.

I totally understand the difficulties someone may face when learning a new language, since I've practiced learning different languages. I understand first steps are hard to take and sometimes it might feel embarrassing, but we all learn by our mistakes so there is no reason to worry or feel anxious about it.
